Part A. Important notices and product safety
1. Product safety
1.1 Professional shears, thinners and razors are sharp cutting tools. Used carelessly, they can cause serious injury.
1.2 Our tools are for use by people aged 18 or over, or by apprentices and students under qualified supervision. Keep them away from children.
1.3 Store every tool closed, in its case, pouch or holster, and out of reach when not in use.
1.4 Handle with care. Open and close the blades under control, carry them closed and never try to catch a falling tool. Do not test an edge on skin. Change razor blades with care and put used blades in a sharps container.
1.5 Keep up maintenance. Wipe the blades clean and dry after use, oil the pivot and set tension as the maker recommends. Do not sharpen a professional edge at home. Use a sharpener experienced with the blade type.
1.6 Long hours of cutting can contribute to repetitive strain on the hand, wrist and shoulder. Choose a size and handle that suit your hand and technique, take breaks, and get medical advice if pain continues.
2. Professional tool disclaimer
2.1 Product descriptions, buying guides, care notes and size advice on the site are general information. They are not advice for your particular work, hand or health.
2.2 Specifications such as steel type, hardness and manufacturing method come from the maker or supplier. We take care to show them accurately. Beyond what the listing states, or what we confirm to you in writing for your order, we do not promise any further specification. Your rights described in section 8 are not affected.
2.3 A Japanese brand or model name does not by itself mean the product was made in Japan. If country of manufacture matters to you, check the product page or ask us before ordering.
2.4 Choosing the right tool for your work is your responsibility: type, size, hand, handle and set contents. Ask us before you buy if you are unsure. A tool that turns out to be the wrong size or style for you is not faulty. It falls under change of mind (section 11).
3. Eligibility
To order, you must be at least 18, able to enter a binding contract, and authorized to use the PayPal account or payment method you pay with.
Part B. Purchasing
4. Orders and contract formation
4.1 Product pages invite you to order. When you complete payment at checkout, you make an offer to buy the items in your order.
4.2 A contract forms when your PayPal payment has been completed and we have sent your order confirmation email.
4.3 We may decline an order, or cancel it before dispatch, if:
- the item is unavailable;
- a price or listing contains an obvious error (section 6.4);
- we reasonably suspect fraud or an unauthorized payment;
- the order exceeds the quantity limits shown at checkout; or
- we cannot deliver to the address (section 7).
If we cancel after you have paid, we refund the full amount to your original PayPal payment.
4.4 To change or cancel an order, contact us as soon as possible with your order number. Once an order has been packed or dispatched, we may not be able to change it.
5. Product information
5.1 Product images are illustrative. Finish, color, markings, packaging and accessories can vary slightly between batches, and screens show color differently.
5.2 Sizes are shown in inches as stated by the maker. Makers measure differently: some state the overall length, others the distance from the blade tip to the pivot screw. Our common questions explain how to compare sizes. Ask us if the measurement matters for your work.
5.3 Many tools come in right- and left-handed versions. Selecting the correct hand is your responsibility; check the variant before you pay.
5.4 Set contents are as listed for the selected variant. Check the model, SKU, hand and length before you pay.
6. Pricing and payment
6.1 Prices are in US dollars (USD). No sales tax is added at checkout. Each order's receipt is titled “Receipt”.
6.2 Prices and delivery charges can change until you complete checkout. Checkout shows the full total, including delivery, before you pay. That is the amount you are charged.
6.3 Payment is made through PayPal and processed by PayPal under its own terms. The PayPal window shows the ways you can pay. We do not receive or store your card details.
6.4 If a price or listing contains an obvious error, we will contact you before dispatch. You can choose to pay the correct price or cancel the order for a full refund.
7. Delivery and shipping
7.1 We ship to the 50 US states and the District of Columbia. We do not ship to US territories, APO/FPO addresses or PO boxes.
7.2 Delivery charges: Standard shipping is US$12.99, free on orders over US$79.00. Express shipping is US$12.95. Checkout shows the charge before you pay.
7.3 Checkout shows estimated handling and arrival times. These are estimates, not guarantees. Carrier delays can occur.
7.4 Check your delivery address and contact details before paying. If a parcel cannot be delivered because the details were wrong, contact us. We will arrange to resend it, and you may need to pay the extra postage.
7.5 When your order is dispatched, we email you the tracking details if the carrier provides them.
7.6 Title in the Products passes to you after payment is received in full. Risk in the Products passes on delivery to the shipping address you provide, except where applicable law provides otherwise. We will assist with carrier issues, lost parcels, or damaged shipments where reasonably possible.
7.7 Report these to us promptly:
- a parcel that has not arrived by the estimated time;
- a parcel that arrives damaged, or with items missing.
For visible damage, email us photos of the parcel and packaging, ideally within 48 hours of delivery.
7.8 Duties and import charges: Duties and import charges, if any, are paid by the buyer.
Part C. Your rights and returns
8. Your consumer rights
8.1 Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot legally be excluded, restricted, or modified under applicable consumer protection laws.
8.2 If we confirm that the Product is faulty, materially different from what was ordered, or incorrectly supplied, we will provide a suitable remedy such as repair, replacement, exchange, store credit, or refund depending on the issue and applicable law.
8.3 These rights sit alongside, and are not limited by, our change-of-mind policy or any maker's warranty.
9. What is and is not a fault

- damage from cutting anything other than hair;

10.2 Please wait for our instructions before sending anything back. We may need to inspect the item, or have it inspected by the maker.
10.3 If we confirm a fault, we pay the return shipping and provide the remedy that applies under section 8.
11. Change-of-mind returns
11.1 We accept change-of-mind returns on these conditions. Your rights under section 8 still apply.
11.2 Time limit. Change-of-mind returns are only available within 30 days of delivery. Contact us with your order number before you send anything back.
11.3 Condition. Original condition and packaging: Please include the scissors, case, accessories, certificates, documentation, oil, tension key, inserts, and all original packaging. - Unacceptable: Heavy use, damage, modification, corrosion, improper sharpening, missing essential components, or condition unsuitable for resale — return may be declined.
11.4 Postage. You must send the Product to the approved return address at your cost unless we confirm the Product is faulty, materially different from your Order, or otherwise eligible for a different return arrangement. We recommend a tracked service. The item is your responsibility until it reaches us.
11.5 Restocking fee. Condition-based fees may apply: 0% for pristine/unopened, 15% for excellent/tested, and 30% + 50 US dollars service fee for good/slightly used items.
11.6 Refund. After inspection, approved refunds, store credits, or exchanges are usually processed within 5-7 business days.
11.7 Exclusions. Change of mind does not apply to:
- returns requested after the time limit in section 11.2;
- personalized or custom orders;
- opened hygiene products, such as razor blades;
- items sold as final sale or clearance.
Your rights under section 8 still apply to all of these items.
11.8 Exchanges. If you choose an exchange, you may need to pay any price difference between the returned Product and the replacement Product. For U.S. customers, approved exchange shipments are sent at no additional standard shipping cost unless otherwise agreed.
11.9 If a returned item does not meet these conditions, we will contact you about it before deciding the next step.
12. Warranty and after-sales
12.1 Some makers give their own warranty. Its terms vary by brand. Ask us about the maker's warranty for your model.
